ABOUT
PASTOR REGINA HARRIS

If our society is ever going to recover from the state of chaos in which we have been surrounded, then we must welcome whole heartedly the words of II Chronicles 7:14, "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." This idea must first be embraced in the hearts of the Christian family which is the nucleus to our society. When this occurs this will ultimately impact our communities and then our world. We are watching the people in our society perish for a lack of knowledge. We must intentionally educate our families to reverse this horrible cycle that we have created."  this is what Pastor Regina Harris believes.

Regina Harris is a native of Memphis, Tennessee. She accepted Christ at an early age at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church under the late Pastor Rogers L. Pruitt. She later joined First Baptist Church where Pastor Keith Norman currently serves. She was licensed and ordained in April of 2005 at First Baptist Church under his leadership. Regina is committed to the continuous education and development of the family that begins with the institution of marriage.

In September of 2008, God lead Regina away from the comfort of her home church to found the Greater Faith Christian Ministries. Starting with just her husband and children she began the journey. Though she did not know where the members would come from, nor the means by which to financially support such a dream, she continued with the mission. Since then they have grown to approximately 40 members. Though small in number, Greater Faith believes they are a "Growing Church doing Mega Ministry." As a result of this philosophy, Greater Faith has sponsored a health fair, donated food and clothing to the community, participated in Walker Homes ' Love thy Neighbor' Community Picnic just to name a few activities.

Regina graduated from George Washington Carver High School. She later went on to study at Lemoyne-Owen College and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1998. In July of 2015, she graduated from Bethel University with her Masters in Leadership. In addition, she has studied  at Memphis Theological Seminary working toward her Masters of Divinity degree.

She currently teaches in the Shelby County School system.  Early in her teaching career, she left to assist her husband in starting their family business, The Crock Pot, a soul food restaurant located in South Memphis were she spent the majority of her youth.  She later returned and now aspires to begin her own school were she will serve as the principal.

She has been married to her best friend, Minister Gabriel Harris since 1998. Together they share the joy of three wonderful children, Jeremy Fair, Gabrielle Harris, and Jordan Harris.
